This took place about 30 years ago when I was growing up in New Jersey. I believe I was in about 2nd or 3rd grade. All of the well-to-do children in school had Freazy Freakie gloves. I thought they were the most amazing things. I told my parents about them, but they didn't understand me. Then when they finally saw them, they told me they were too expensive. I had mittens that my mother had knitted for me (not cool). That Christmas I got a pair of the Swany Freazy Freakie Peacock mittens. ... Read Full Story.

I'm a cyclist who commutes 12 miles to Boston each day and have struggled with finding the right combination of warmth and dexterity to shift gears and work brake levers. The struggle is over now that I own a pair of the Sport Utility Crossovers. I picked them up late in the season so I actually don't need them now, can't wait til it gets cold again...wait did I just say that! ... Read Full Story.

Due to the fact that I have webbed fingers, I can not wear gloves, so about ten years ago I was searching for mittens that keep my hands warm, but yet free to pick up stuff. Low and behold, I found the Toaster. They have been my mitten of choice ever since. I have now skied at least once per month for 198 months straight and my Toasters have been there for most of this obsession. They are versatile enough to keep my hands warm in the depth of winter or cool enough when I am making turns on 4... Read Full Story.

I was at the Sundance film festival and happened to have the good fortune of meeting with "The Doors" Ray Manzera and Robbie Kreiger as well as Billy Gibson of ZZ top and Sting. I was there on official business promoting the Swany brand but for a 60 plus skier, it was the thrill of the year to be able to meet these guys and get them to sign our signature glove. We ask them to sign a special glove and then donate it to the Huega foundation, which does research and provides life experiences for ... Read Full Story.

When I was 8 years old. I loved to take little side paths in the trees. I found it fun to ski a little backcountry that always went somewhere. One day when I was skiing I took a path and all of a sudden there was a quick turn to get out, but you would have to drop half a foot off a tree stump. I decided that since I could see the light through the trees I decided to keep going. As I was going I realized that I was getting further and further away from the regular trail. As I was looking my body ... Read Full Story.
