Back in late September, me and my 2 friends were soo eager to get out riding, but we had no snow! so we got some snow from a local arena, loaded up the truck, and went to a handrail on one side of town. I was skiing down the backside of Winter Park last season by myself. I usually tuck my gloves inside my coat, but this time I left my right glove on but slightly exposing my wrist. Dude! My glove is caught. No problem the lift operator said with a grin. Those few simple words brought me back to reality. It was the last day of our 4 day heavenly ski trip. My wife and I had been skiing powder all day. 8 inches had fallen the night before making the tree skiing the best yet. 2pm came and took my wife, exhausted for the day, off the mountain. I have been skiing for about 20 years and spending my last 10 winter seasons living in Killington Vt. I really don't count my skiing days, but because of my obsessive personality , I end up skiing about 4-6 days a week for 100+ days a year.

A story about skiing? Okay! Lets start at the beginning. I was 12 and it was my first year out at Heavenly with my dad who has been going out there since the 80's.
