Tom Henthorn • Sun & Ski, Cincinnati, OH (Kenwood)
Skiing Perfect North Slopes (IN), cold hands are a thing of the past, my hands have been warm and comfortable since buying my new Swany's,
(my first). I was especially grateful last week when the temperature dropped into the teens. I keep waiting for my finger tips to get cold but it didn't happen.
Thanks for a warm, comfortable glove. ... Read Full Story. |

Kelly Saunders • Switzerland
Ich liebe Dich Switzerland
The snow-capped Alps provided a striking background to the little town of Interlaken, allowing photographer Kelly Saunders to capture a glimpse into Swiss culture and culinary delights.
After a draining, overcrowded, eleven hour flight I was whisked away from the mayhem of Zurich and set on Höheweg Strasse in the charming town of Interlaken. Sleeping for what felt like an eternity, I awoke to the vast panorama of the Swiss Alps and the exhilarating echo o... Read Full Story. |

Kirsten Texler • Vail, Colorado
As a ski instructor in Colorado for 18 years, there are some items I just cant skimp on

I'm not sure what year I bought these gloves but it was around 1995 or 1996. That's about 12 years ago or so. I was a ski instructor at Deer Valley and the season was winding down and I got these from the Swany rep. I have used them every season since then. As you can see from the pics, they are still in good shape. No holes, they aren't coming apart. You have to understand what I have put these gloves through. There have been times when I forgot my work gloves and these were in the car so I use... Read Full Story. |

Dudes. OK. I was boot packing it up to some off-piste at San Moritz to shoot some pillow lines. After skinning it up a traverse to above tree line, I strapped on my Armadas and tipped myself over the 60 degree. As I was slicing up that fresh pow, this gaper decked out in neon Bogner and a jester hat who was trying to rock the lift line to impress his mon ami, totally just cut across my fall line. I had to avoid, so I did a cut across myself in the coolee and shot that fresh like I was ripping a ... Read Full Story. |

jeff wenzel • beaver creek, elk glades far skier left
The elk glade trees offer a large area of great skiing wtih steep chute/steps. on a beautiful blue day I stopped to take a whiz, leaving my gloves hanging in the pole straps as usual. as i observed a small white weasel bound along, unnoticed to me, my pole tilted into the stream. Looking down only to notice my right glove fillling up. yeah, that was a memorable glove story indeed. ... Read Full Story. |
